He cant get approved to switch from AT&T to Singular without giving up his SSN, in order for them to run a credit check. Even though he’s already a customer with AT&T which recently merged with Singular, and AT&T didn’t need his SSN to run a credit check. In fact, he is legaly not required to give it up, but they are refusing service and he’s “privacy concious”.
With the recent high profile leaks of customer information I don’t disagree with his reasoning. Just wish companies werent such idiots when it came to that stuff. I’m sure there is some other way they can run his credit.
