Damn it feels good to be a gangsta
Posted on May 23rd, 2005 | by admin |I’ve got a decent sized post in the works but I’m too lazy right now to finish it but I figured I might share some random thoughts.
I wonder what life would be like if I drove a Saturn and drank Snapple.
Kevin Rose, of TechTV The Screen Savers fame is having a release party for his new show “Systm”. Its supposed to be a show by geeks for geeks done on their own without any control by the man. It sounds promising. I’m downloading now while hanging out on the official IRC channel and checking out the webcam. Yeah, lame, hopefully I’m not wasting my time.
I got freaked out the other day on 199 when two crotch-rocket bikers from Florida were weaving in and out of traffic and one of them drove into my lane. I was within reaching distance of this show off and that really pissed me off. You’d think another cyclist would respect another’s lane. Later I saw them at the ABC. Makes you wonder.
This girl I’ve been hanging out with came over today, and I’ve been tired all day since I only got 4 hours of sleep. I’m not sure how it happened but I fell asleep. When I woke up my apartment had been cleaned. I got her a brownie.
I’m going on a camping trip with Wess, Paul, and Erik this weekend. Should be fun. I’ll be sure and bring extra memory cards and batteries for the digital camera. It’s been a while since I’ve gone shooting.
Weather is going to be nasty for the rest of the week so the bike’s getting chained up. Thankfully it’ll be clear skies and in the 80’s when I return on Monday. I can’t wait to take the ‘reb out again. Oh yeah, and I’ve named her Jozette for good luck.
I can’t find a good swing set. I used to night-swing with my iPod at Rawls Byrd elementary but then they replaced the swing set with some plastic play-pen. If they could freak out any more about a kid skinning their knees I’m sure they’d wrap the whole damn playground in Styrofoam and bubble wrap. They did the same thing to Wallermill and Mc Gruder elementary. I checked out Clara Byrd Baker the other night but the swings squeak and the foundation isn’t set right. Hopefully the swings at DJ Montigue are still around but that’s quite a drive. I swear the first thing I’ll get when I buy a house is a 25 foot swing set.
On a company wide quarterly conference call on Friday the CEO was talking, and I was listening on speakerphone, and all of the sudden he starts talking about some A.C. repair thing. I didn’t really get it. Then he mentions my name and starts talking about my projects from this quarter and bam, I’ve been awarded “Quarterly Champion”. I’ve got a crystal trophy waiting for me in D.C. I can’t wait to get it. I’m honored. I wonder if saving the CEO’s laptop’s busted hard drive with some Bootable Linux CD voodoo had anything to do with it. Anyway, I’ve got a BIG GRIN.
Wow, seems I think more than I thought. Um… Yeah.

Congratulations on your award. Jozette is a fitting name, it originated when Boo combined the names of Great-Aunt Lizette and Great-Aunt Josephine. Yes, Josephine is a family name.

No way, Josephine is a family name, that rocks my socks off. Now if only the weather would get a little nicer I would take Jozette out some more. I think Monday of next week is the only nice day for the next 10 days! Arent spring showers supposed to be over with. Its MAY! Where are the Spring Flowers!

Don’t talk to me about when Spring is supposed to show up. You know where I am.
