Nerdcore Vacation

Canon T1i HD Video Review
While my Canon XSi was in the shop I rented a Canon T1i from borrowlenses.com as a replacement. It served me well while on vacation in NC and CA. Writeup on those to follow. Suffice it to say the XSi is a great video camera when paired with some nice lenses. Most of these shots are from a 50mm f/1.8 Canon lens. I could have been more still with a tripod but, meh, shoot from the hip
On the down side the T1i has no mic-in jack so any serious video work will take some cludgery with an external recorder and sync’ing in post. Yuck. [...]
