About nothing and everything all at once

I had to go to the Vienna office yesterday and I wasn’t really sure about my car so I decided to take Jozette (the rebel) up for the trip. I had only been out on the Interstate once before but it really wasn’t that bad so how bad could 3 hours on a bike going through the Capitol Beltway durring rush hour be???

I left at 3 am Wednesday morning and arived in Vienna at 6:30 am, taking a little break every 50 miles at the rest areas. I worked my butt off all day, not even breaking for lunch, then left at 4:15. The first 5 miles (495 to 95) were pretty bad, I’m not sure I even made it out of second gear, but once I got on the HOV lane on i95 it was smooth sailing. I found out that my little ‘reb can actually keep up with traffic, and that either people in cars speed like crazy or my speed-O-meter is rated a little high. Either way it was really not bad in the way of traffic. I kept a lot of distance and focused on the cars and road while other bikers weaved in and out of traffic. I had to take a lot of breaks because my back was killing me, specifically my left shoulder. My rucksack was filled with only my 4lbs notebook and a couple other things but after time it really hurt.

I got home safe and plesantly suprised to see that my roommate Wess had prepared the best steak I’ve ever eaten. Beth, Alanna, Wess and I gathered around the table for dinner and it was really nice. We try to do it 2 - 4 times a month.

Sometimes I give myself the creeps
Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me

It all keeps adding up
I think I’m cracking up
Am I just paranoid?
